Joan and Neil Styczynski Transfer Student Scholarship

Joan and Neil Styczynski have created this scholarship in support of the education community of Central Illinois through Illinois State University and Heartland Community College. With the scholarship, they are “paying back” for the generosity from which they benefited. It is their hope that the recipients of this scholarship will “pay it forward” in helping and affecting lives of young people in a positive way. 1985 and 1986 Scholarships

Both awards are for $500. Their applications, which can be found at the Development Office 401 Hovey Hall, must be received by Monday, March 31, 2008.

Class of 1985 Scholarship guidelines:

2.5 minimum GPA
Completed no fewer than 70 hours and no more than 90
demonstrated leadership and participation in campus activities
demonstrated financial need
submit applications, form and letters of recommendation
cannot have been prior recipients

Class of 1986 Scholarship guidelines:

3.0 minimum GPA
Completed no fewer than 70 hours and no more than 90
demonstrated leadership and participation in campus activities
demonstrated academic excellence
submit applications, form and letters of recommendation
cannot have been prior recipients
