Graduate Assistantships

Applicants to the M.A. Program in Languages, Literatures, and Cultures may apply for a graduate assistantship which includes a complete tuition waiver and a monthly stipend; additionally, if you purchase health insurance through the University, your costs will be reimbursed. Graduate assistants typically teach one introductory language course, assist in the computer or audio laboratories, or serve as research assistants.

Graduate assistantships in this department provide a stipend of approximately $7200 per year and a tuition waiver (but not a fee waiver) in exchange for a teaching or research assignment. The department offers some travel support for a semester of study abroad. Other scholarship opportunities are available through the College of Arts & Sciences and University.
