Students must complete 33 semester credits of graduate course work, choosing concentrations among the following areas: culture, linguistics / language, literature, or teaching methods / pedagogy. Full-time students typically take 9 to 12 hours (3 to 4 classes) per semester. A thesis option also is available. All requirements, including comprehensive exams, must be completed within 6 years.
