Admission to the Master's program in Languages, Literatures, and Cultures normally requires an undergraduate major in the intended language. Applications may be submitted for either the fall or spring semesters. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis; however, to optimize opportunities for graduate assistantships, financial aid, and housing, we recommend that you submit your application by November 1 for the spring semester and March 1 for the fall semester. Check the graduate website for further information.
Contact the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures.
Applicants may also apply for a graduate assistantship which includes a complete tuition waiver. Assistants may teach one four-hour introductory language course, assist in the computer or audio laboratories, or serve as research assistants. Teaching assistants are required to take a teaching techniques course (Further details are given below).
All applications are submitted via the ISU Admissions office. After applying you may be asked to provide supplemental materials.
